Graphs.

Okay, I'm blogging just coz I finally have time to do so and that I'm sick of Sihui who's been bugging me to blog.
Nothing to post about. Except that the class went overboard today. Respect is not what everyone feels that is the basic criteria of being well-mannered. Anyway, I got pissed off today. Won't post about it coz it's just, well, depressing.
Well, I got full marks for my math. This shows that graphs are somehow my forte - well, at least better than inequalities. Hopefully, I will be able to ace my maths - yeah, I know that it's a well-known fact that I'm no good with numbers - I'm crossing my fingers. Algebra and angles are not much of a problem...I love graphs. But I heard that Sec2 graphs are really tough - so shan't decide to fast. Anyway, I'm hoping that most of the questions will be on linear graphs and histograms.
I feel wrecked. Ten more days. And three more days to doom. How apt.
Sinking into a deep slumber.

I'm really lucky that there was no mass run today. Had forgotten to bring my house shirt to school to change into...
There were so many surveys to do today - you could hear the collective groans from our class when Mr Choy annouced, "There is one more survey..."
Hopefully, we can send the shirt for printing earlier. I know I'm being very naggy but just tell me what word you want coz it's taking a long time. And also, if you guys are going overseas or have performances during the holidays, just tell the comm coz the chalet thing is COMPULSORY for all [ it's class-bonding ]. I'm thinking downtown east =]]
On a lighter note, I really wonder when I will stop embarrassing myself at least once everday. I was tired so fell asleep while on my way home. Then this guy who was next to me also fell asleep. The mortifying thing was that when the train stop, both our heads clashed together -___=" It's not my fault. I think. Anyway, he said sorry and to make sure our heads won't clash again, he leaned on his other side to put his head on his girlfriend/wife's head. They were in their mid-twenties. My mum laughed when she heard this and this was all she remarked,
Oh yeah, fell down during PE again. We were asked to run in the field. The place which I hate the most after it rains. Anyway, while everyone was running, you could hear the squelching of the MUD. Yimin also chose that time to scare me by saying that there was this red WORM in the SOIL. I did a great back slide while running to the base - the mud was slippery and I just slid down and hurt my butt plus my lower back coz I had no balance.
Talking about worms...it reminds me of something else which only someone as retarded as sihui will love : REPTILES. I walked with her to the station today and we saw this gecko/lizard reptile thing in the grass outside the condo. I was talking then and stopped to scream mid-way. It was running and Sihui was gushing about how "cute" the creature was while I was busy freaking out. She said I screamed three times altogether when the thing was scampering on the pathway. Reminds me of the time whereby I walked one big loop coz there was a toad right smack in the middle of the pavement near the grass patch outside the school. Wildlife ain't suitable for me.
Btw, these videos are funny. I know sihui, you love akanashi jin. Thanks to me, for introducing you to this boyband =]] Ueda's better fyi.

I find it ludicrous that Ms Vicky could forget to inform us about the mass lecture yesterday.
Only about fifteen people from our class attended it yesterday. Since there were five of us and we needed to fit in a few more details for our History project, we got Andro to take down notes for us while the four of us did the History project right at the back of the auditorium. We did manange to finish the entire thing though. The thing was that Andro, Sihui and I only went home at between four to five -Cassy had to go home earlier and Deb had council meeting.
The Lit debate was fun. Cassy looked quite feral while rebutting ^^"
Went out with my mum today. I'd wanted to wear my white heels but couldn't find them anywhere so decided to wear my brown pumps instead. You know, except for my sports shoes and sandals, all my other shoes give me blisters - especially heels. My black court shoes [which cost more than $100] are the only comfortable heels actually but that is to be worn with my choir gown I guess. Anyway, yes, my brown pumps gave me blisters too. And I've discovered how difficult it is to run for the bus while wearing pumps.
My mum rented yet another series of comics for me \(=^.^=)/
The only thing I absolutely dislike today was that we needed to buy groceries. I dislike shopping for groceries...it's so cumbersome... Oh yeah, I made another agar-agar this evening and it tasted GREAT. My mum can testify to that. Sorry to those who tried my agar-agar after practical coz I know that was a failure. I added too much powder, that's why. So I'm actually able to make delicious agar-agar, it's just that you were too unlucky to eat the batch I made on Monday, sorry. I didn't know it was that horrible till Sihui told me. Can make it up to you if you want. I can make another for you ^^

I'm having a bad sore throat. Wonder why I get sick so easily 0_0
Unfortunately, there was free period today, so had to try to control the class. Wasn't much of a help coz couldn't shout properly. Lol.
My mum gave me some herbal medicine to drink just now. It looked like sewage water and tasted much more bitter than bitter gourd. It's quite amazing that I'm still alive.
Mr Goh was unusually pleasant to us today. After burdening us with even more homework, he said something about cherishing those around you and stuff like that. He further added on that he will try his best not to scold us even if we don't complete our homework as his doctor asked him not to coz he has high blood pressure. 0__0
Sihui was having laughing fits today. All because of an innocent blunder I had made. It started yesterday when I actually was emphasizing on the spelling of "lucky". As I had other things on my mind at that time, I spelt it "L-U-LL-E". I think i may have some memory problem...coz I forgot what word I was spelling halfway and almost spelt out my thoughts at that time - which wasn't even relevant to what we were talking about. Sheesh. Ah well. Sihui couldn't stop laughing after that.
Well, there's the chinese test tmr...ta. For those who hasn't voted for the shirt design, please do so by 11pm tonight. All voting will cease then.
In three words I can sum up everything I've learnt about life: it goes on.

In the bleak midwinter

Just so you know, this is gonna be a long post. Here goes:
The History project is almost done as we did it yesterday. Andro was insanely early while Deb was the opposite. Anyway, Deb was really funny, trying to catch M&M's in her mouth =] Sihui still hasn't send me the photos =/
Although I was already so damn tired as I'd not a day of rest starting from Saturday [ I went to my mum's friend's house and reached home at midnight ] and the following days were occupied with choir and lessons plus projects. Still, I enjoyed today =]
Met Claudia at the traffic junction and walked with her to school after that. Once we reached there, we saw Jia Ying and Kalyn running and they told us to run three rounds as usual. With that, the whole choir didn't do much warm-ups as the running helps a lot. After Mr Tay came in, we revised Mighty Wonder and learnt Away In A Manger - both that are now amongst my favourite songs. Thanks to Melissa who gave me really good advice on how I can hit the high notes in Mighty Wonder while controlling them, I finally managed to sing the whole song right =]]] Away In A Manger is quite easy - just that the low parts are confusing. Khumitra and I suspected Mr Tay didn't eat his breakfast coz when teaching us some eurythmics, he kept using food for subsitutes. =] Also went through the first three pages of El Barquito in solfege.
Then came lunch. I went with Juniper to Esso and due to the lack of suitable places to eat our lunch, we decided to sit at the bus stop to eat. Although the weather was warm today, I can bet all that went for today's practice would think that the sunlight today is freaking important. The MPR was so cold that I was shivering while singing. That's why we didn't feel really warm sitting in the sun for one hour. After eating, Juniper practised her Chinese - she's really hard-working. I haven't studied for Chinese test next week and Juniper's test is still two weeks away 0-0
We went back to the arts cons as it was finally free to use. Then after enclosing Yi Bin with the whiteboard while she was playing the piano, Juniper displayed her ballet skills. LOL.
Oh yeah, got our choir photos today and I look like a retard in my old hairstyle =/ Ms Tham came in shortly after and Tabitha played the The Wedding March when she walked in ^^
Ms Tham hasn't conducted us for a long time. We sang Mighty Wonder and Away In A Manger again. Kalyn, Juniper and I were swaying while singing and it was really funny when Kalyn collided with Juniper. hahas. It's easy to sway when singing this two songs - they are pretty...
After Ms Tham was satisfied with our singing, she taught us Mid-Winter, which is the most beautiful song I've ever heard. Serious. When Ms Tham played the piano piece, it gave me goosebumps. As in, the music is really lovely. The chours is a little difficult to sing at first though.
Coz we were sitting near the piano at that time, it was warmer coz people were crowded together. Hee, at least it was warmer....or maybe as Ms Tham say, it was the heat from the piano.
Again, we moved to another song after grasping the main melody of the song. This time, we sang El Barquito in the spanish words. Spanish songs are always difficult to sing, especially this particular song. The beats are hard to keep up with...And I was so drowsy.
Ms Tham saw that most of us were already tired so she gave us a break.
Juniper who prevented me from taking in the precious warmth - it was really cold.
Everyone then crowded either outside or at the glass windows coz it's warmer. The glass was really hot.
Anyway, Ms Tham took pity on us and release us on time as she also knows cramming all of us with so many songs is tiring. And we'd been singing for near six hours...
Choir balances out the types of songs I listen to. Actually, I love all genres EXCEPT blues, soul, and majority of R&B. I only like a few R&B songs. Btw, Mid-winter was so beautiful that Jollin said that the song is her 'boyfriend'. Yup, everyone's in love with the song now =]
Well, I need to stop here so ciao.

Although I was dead beat today, choir was fun=]
Warmed up by running three rounds around the Parade Square and singing 'Twinkle Stars' with our legs stretched 45 degrees. It was really painful singing while feeling like your abdomen's gonna snap.
Coz we couldn't use the Arts Con. and the band was too noisy for us to sing at the mini forum, plus there isn't a piano in the MPR, we just stayed in the MPR and did some bonding. Revised a bit of Las Amarillas and the walk-in concert song. Then, came the best part [coz Ariel also couldn't find the right pitch without the pitch fork] all of us, gathered in a small circle in the room and some told us ghost stories. Some are real life experience and Kumitra said a poem that is like a curse, if you go down the steps saying it, it will determine your death and if you say it to the end, you will uhm, vanish? 0_0
Anyway, Laura and Kalyn came in just then and they thought Ariel was teaching us to mediate!
Tried our gowns after that. It was so awkward... Couldn't go to the toilet, so Kalyn helped me change to my gown.
Lunch was spent at Esso. Joey and I offered to shelter Zhuo Min and Claudia and four of us were wet. I was the one who was completely drenched. But I was consoled when I saw how wet Charlene was later [she ran from the bus stop to school without an umbrella].
The next hour of lunch was used in the studio room opposite. Yi Bin's piano playing is really great =]]
Warmed up our voices with 'Hark the Bell is Ringing' while walking in time [keeping the same beat]. Mr Tay then ran through the repertoire for the concert.
My section sabotaged the Sop2s today, just ask Ziyu =]] HAHAHAH. Sop1s rock the most anyway. Mr Tay kept scolding us about our section not being focused and decided to scold Sop2s too coz yes, they are Sops =]]]] And that for 'Mighty Wonder' , which we learnt today, they are singing the same parts.
All because of Juniper! Kept making Kalyn and me laugh while singing, that's why all of us got the wrong notes and the wrong bars.
Oh yeah, during sectionals, Juniper kept fooling about with her rendition of the intro of 'Mighty Wonder' that we were laughing more than singing. Anyway, Yi Bin and Juniper played the piano wrongly so we also got lost - Juniper said that's coz she has already retired [she'd got her diploma]. That's why Teryne called Mr Tay our 'savior' when he appeared in the room to help us after the Altos in the next room. Finished the whole song faster than the Altos as Mr Tay taught us some effective vocal techniques and our parts were easier. Though some parts were insanely high.
So when Mr Tay was still going through with Altos, Juniper decided to do some "Break-bone dancing" which failed MISERABLY. =] Kalyn and I were laughing our heads off. Kalyn, Teryne and Li Xin tried another step and it was all very funny.
When we were singing the whole piece of 'Mighty Wonder' Juniper exaggerated the singing and caused me to laugh again...Kalyn and Teryne also laughed and yup, everything went downhill once more. But we managed to do it quite beautifully the last time =]]
