Good-Looking Guys

These are some of the photos I took on Saturday...I'd wanted to upload them then but there was some error on Blogger=] All are just...whimsical. I usually take photos at the most random places...-__=
Today's Literature lesson was hilarious. We went to the MPR to act out impromptu skits. I had only one - thank goodness, considering the fact that my number is right in the middle =] well, you get what I mean. Anyway, I loved the one on these two girls [ Anna and Geraldine ] being head over heels about this guy [ Clare ]. Geraldine was so funny! When she saw Clare, she folded her skirt till it was high above her knees =]] Then while both were fighting desperately for Clare's attention, Clare announced, "Wait! I've got something important to say! I'm a GAY!!". Ms Vicky then commented that it's true - good-looking guys are always either married, attached, or GAY. LOL. Geraldine should act as a guy though...Lol. Anyway, it was damn freaking funny! Though Pearlyn, who was laughing hard accidentally dug her elbow into me, coz we were leaning back to back against each other. The next skit was about this couple [ father: Jessie, mother: Paveta ] whose daughter [Suet Yi] came home only after the curfew. Anyway, after a dialogue about preferring to chill in Snow City rather than "chillin" in the freezer with fish XD, Ms Vicky again commented. She remarked that that's how kids get into drugs etc. after she saw how many of us don't have curfews at all. Then Suet Yi said she stayed over at her friend's house till morning. Ms Vicky then asked, "What do you do at your friend's house? what's there to do?" Suet Yi said they played in bed. That sounded wrong and again, everybody ended up cracking up. LOL.
Ran mass run with Deb this morning. We could have ran faster if not for the crowd which was jamming up the whole path along the canal.

Btw, I forgot to blog about Speech day=] The performance drew positive feedbacks. Farzina was so nervous that she started giggling...Don't understand what she was doing. We were all fooling around backstage before going out [ we were the first item ]. Everyone fussed about how they looked and Kumitra's blouse came out and she had to stuff it back in a hurry. I dislike smiling during performance though. Ms Tham told us we must be like Big Bird from Sesame Street, friendly and approachable, with the mouth wide open. Since it's the hall, the dynamics were changed to f, ff, fff. I was really singing my loudest already. Gtg now, ta.

Hey.
Sorry if it's been a long time since my last post - though it is not really a long time to me =]]
Loved today's mass run. I was the first to reach the classroom, heehee... Don't think I was the first to complete though. Anyway, Pearlyn managed to catch up with me today - till the last lap. Actually, it's not that she managed, it's that I forced her to. Lol. She wanted to stop and slack but I didn't allow that to happened. So she resorted to pulling my shirt sleeve. In the process of doing so, although she meant no ill-feelings, she actually bared my um, undergarment strap. My shirt is quite baggy, so yeah. So if anyone was looking at us, they would have seen a girl looking half-dead and pulling the sleeve of the girl in front in a desperate attempt to stop her and the girl in front is also desperately pulling her sleeve back. Gah.
I rushed through my homework this morning as because of cca again, I didn't have time for it - had to rush home everyday. I'm sorta hoping that next week, we can get to run 2.4km even though NAPFA is over. =] Love running. Don't ask me why I didn't join sports. Anyway, Pearlyn, you must build up your stamina!! =]]]
I just rekindled my love for all kuehs today =]] I bought a Lapis Sagu and yet another type today from CrezCafe. =]] It was fantastic. Lol, I started loving kuehs since real young so it is one of my first loves along with vanilla and egg tarts.
Chinese oral was excruciatingly tough. I stammered and missed more than five words in the passage coz I didn't know how do I read them - for some, I didn't know they even existed. My mum says that when I speak Mandarin, it doesn't even sound like it, my pronouciation is more like a foreign language. Wonder if I'd flunked. Nothing I can do about it anyway.

For the whole week, I will be staying back - unfortunately. This is my schedule.
Today's oral was tough. It's the toughest I'd encountered so far, and I was privileged. I was the first of the whole cohort. And I was the sole timekeeper for others, meaning I will get to leave the last. At least the teacher gave me an egg tart after everything.
Yesterday's rehearsal session was funny. Laura and Melanie scolded Pearlyn for walking up the "stage" in the arts con studio as if it was a beauty pageant, doing the president wave =]]
BTW, happy birthday Deb!!!!!! =]]]
Monday ; Choir / Speech day rehearsal and Chinese Common Test
Tuesday ; English Oral
Wednesday ; Speech Day Full-dress Rehearsal and Mathematics Test
Thursday ; Choir rehearsal and Chemistry Practical Test
Friday ; Chinese Oral and choir rehearsal
Saturday ; Speech Day performance

Hee, since I can't make up mind about choosing which song [again], I shall use an old song =]]
I got a negative twenty-seven for my 听写 yesterday. Didn't study for it. Neither did I study for History. I didn't have time as I had choir the day before and had a Maths assignment that was due on the same day. This goes to show how precious time is.
My mum's cooking is great! Loved today's dinner =]]

Lol...and it had my favourite...Japanese cucumbers!! Plus mayo, slightly over-cooked carrots, long beans, and of course, not to forget cauliflower that was soaked in dried scallop soup for flavour. Love it! I dislike all cucumbers except for Japanese cucumbers coz it isn't bitter and taste much more refreshing ^^ Heee, my mum always call me picky and the high maintenance girl.
***You Are Scissors***
Sharp and brilliant, you can solve almost any problem with that big brain of yours.People fear your cutting comments - and your wit is famous for being both funny and cruel.Deep down, you tend to be in the middle of an emotional storm. Your own complexity disturbs you.You are too smart for your own good. Slow down a little - or you're likely to hurt yourself. You can cut a paper person down to pieces. The only person who can ruin you is a rock person. When you fight: You find your enemy's weak point and exploit it. If someone makes you mad: You'll do everything you can to destroy their life.

There was Speech day performance rehearsal today so all those in Performing Arts had to stay back. Laura punished the whole choir to run round the parade square - even for those, like me, who were wearing uniform. So if you were there at that time, you would have seen weirdos running while clutching their skirts and blouses.
Ms Tham came today. While performing, she kept reminding us to SMILE, so much so that I felt like we were in a toothpaste advert instead. You know, the cogate and the darlie ones, whereby there will be a woman smiling like she will die if she doesn't and there will be sparkly stuff? Anyway, after singing, Ms Tham scolded Pearlyn as she wasn't focusing. Ms Tham said Pearlyn only smiled at Mr Ho who was adjusting the microphone at the front while we were singing. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Ms Tham said that Pearlyn didn't even spare her a glance while she was conducting us. Didn't know Pearlyn was so interested in smiling at people handling microphones.
Anyway, we sang terribly off-key to day =(( Hope would be better tomorrow.

Remorse

My mum always say that I'm too responsible and worry too much.
I felt so remorseful today. Just because I stayed back during recess today, everyone had to see Ms Ong during journal writing session. It can be said it's more like a disgrace to the class. I was really surprised that no one blamed me that they got scolded by Ms Ong. It's all my fault. I mean, even when I knew I was violating the school rules, not only did I not stop others from doing so, I even joined them. That was really irresponsible of me and just coz of one blunder, Pearlyn, Cassie and Anna had to talk to Ms Ong. Tessa [sim] and Verity also had to talk to Ms Ong too. I'm really sorry guys. I got so depressed when Ms Ong said everyone had to stay back that I refused to talk to anyone for a while - Sorry Pearlyn since I sorta ignored you when you tried to talk to me during that period. When we went back to the class, I was really upset and afraid that people would hate me coz they had to stay back. Thank goodness she didn't ask all to stay back in the end, if not, I would not have forgiven myself.
Oh yeah, today, I ran with the Sec4s. Even if I knew they run slow, I didn't know that they run so slow. I managed to run past three levels and they were still happily strolling. But I was happy that we could finally run since Mr Mun, our new PE teacher didn't let us run yesterday, not like Mr Samat. He's quite lenient though...more lenient than Mr Samat at least.
Gotta go now. Ciao.
PS: I suspect Deb was drunk today as she was real hyper...and her mind...was not in the right context when talking to me after school - No offence Deb!!

Eight Demerits!

I missed my usual six o'clock train to redhill this morning. Had to wait for the 6.10 train to come. Which explains why I was later than usual and once I stepped into the classroom, Tessa [Y.] suddenly shouted "Eight!" at me. She was teaching us the language, Gibberish, which she excels at xD
Our PE teacher changed to Mr Mun...Mr Samat is retiring in August. Mr Mun is relatively nice but he didn't let us run...only taught us basketball tactics and throwing - all the basic stuff. What didn't make sense was teaching us to use a ball, orbiting round our knees, waist, and head. Anyway, it was quite fun, if not for the poor stamina of Pearlyn. She kept complaining about her nails and fingers. Lol, it is right that she's in performing arts, not sports.
After missing three Home Econs lessons, we finally went to the cookery room. I was the last again, as the class was split into two and my partner was, again of course, Xin Yi. Anyway, for our glutinous rice, we forgot to add salt and oyster sauce. Well, Xin Yi was in charge of adding the oyster sauce and me, the salt. We both forgot....only remembered the light and dark sauce, HAHAH. Btw, you know, Xin Yi has never cooked or touch the knife before in her life [pity her maid who does it all], I kept instructing her. She then called me shifu. And the knife we got was quite blunt. So when Ms Teo said to cut off the stalk from the mushroom, Xin Yi got so fed up by the knife that she asked me why not just use our fingernails to rip it off. We can see that she will not pass any hygiene test if she wants to be a cook.

My mum bought tickets to Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix movie yesterday. So nice of her =))
We went to Delifrance for our breakfast but the service there was horrible. And it put my mum into a bad mood. We then left and went up to Sembawang to look at some CDs. Thanks to many recommendations from the helpful shop assistant, Paul, my mum bought six CDs for me in on go! I was so shocked. It was really really great of my mum you know ^^ I chose two instrumental Cds, Good Charlotte, two soundtracks that were both very old, and thirty seconds to mars. =]]]]
Then we went over to Tampines Mall for the movie was starting soon. We queued for about twenty minutes to buy the popcorn and drinks - there were so many people watching the same movie. As a whole, the movie was okay. Saw so little of Malfoy =/ but Rupert Grint looks better. Well, I think Grint is even better than Radcliffe. Emma Watson still look as beautiful.
After that and buying groceries, we went back to Century Square to take neoprints =]]
Took a long time to decorate and stuff. Was so fun =]]]

The Land Of Unknown Dreams

I was so tired today. When I woke up this morning, I almost walked right into the kitchen window if not for my mum as my bleary eyes were still shut. I never regretted joining CGS, in fact, I am thankful for it. The commute is wearing me out slowly though. Especially I would have to stay back till at least six and will reach home earliest at seven plus. The earliest I've reached home this year is 330pm.
I rushed through my Keller house shirt designs with help from Sihui. I was actually asked two days ago but was too busy with choir. Luckily Jolin didn't mind that I was one day late. Before going to 2C1, I went all the way up to the last level to 3C3 to see Zhong Jie [the treasurer after Xin Mu] to accompany Pearlyn. I really love the last level. It's so much better than the ground level. Miss being on the third level. I'd never liked our original classroom anyway...the injured senior and 4S1 can stay there as long as they like - coz I dislike that place. Sure, it's convenient, but it's ugly. It's so confined. And I hate the grille.
Oh yeah, when Mr Choy said we could do our homework or whatever in the last few minutes of his lesson, I just nod off. Till Lit and Jimin woke me up [thanks jimin =)]. Yes, I was that tired. Anyway, during Lit, when Ms Chua asked us to seperate into groups of six, I joined Jolene, pulling Jimin along with me. Then Sihui chose to ask me to join them instead. Ms Vicky somehow found it amusing and said something like, she can see that I'm popular in the class. I'm quite afraid of Ms Vicky. She can be so cool at times and scary the next. Overall, she's alright.
Oh yeah, I think Ms Chua, Mrs ow, Ms Wee, Mr Choy and Ms vicky were shocked when those of us in the back row just literally climbed over the tables. Hahas. Mr Goh gotten used to it by now.
Stayed with Sihui for about 20min at the study pavilion near 3C3. And we talked for a while. I forgot how it came to that but she commented on my nails. So I told her I cut it as I just cut myself while scratching my neck, leaving blood behind so in the end, so as not to do further harm to myself, I cut my nails. Sihui then showed me her nails which were longer than my nails before I cut them! The best thing's that she has never cut herself. So, thus I concluded that my skin's more delicate than hers. Heehee. My skin IS delicate, if under the sun for too long, it can get as red as cooked lobster...and my face always flushes whenever I laugh too hard. -.=
Sorry that I keep flitting from subject to subject. I just feel so weary. I feel real depressed. It's like, all this time, I keep encouraging people, I'm starting to feel tired myself. After sometime, people take you for granted, they take advantage of you by pushing tasks to you, assuming that you would help them do them, being the nice person you are. I just feel so worn out. Someday, I'm gonna snap and burst out. I remember crying everyday in Primary four. Being nice isn't great. It's not about being nice after a while. People start to take you as a dumb person who will do anything for them, do their duties, cover for them. It's the human race I guess. Join the club.
The temptation of just giving up is bekoning to me. Why is it always me? Why push everything to me and expect me to clean up you guys' mess when it's none of my business? Why?

Been feeling quite pressurized lately. What with preparations for Speech Day, assessments, projects and other commitments. It seems that there's really no time for everything. Besides hockey, I think we were the only other CCA that had rehearsal today. It's truly difficult to commit the whole Las Amarillas into memory as the words are complicated. When Ms Tham said that our year-end concert will be combined with St. Andrew's boys, most of the girls' eyes lit up - according to Ms Tham, lol. Anyway, that will still be in a few months, better concentrate on Speech Day. Our perfomance time must be the shortest...five minutes, including intro, going up and down the stage. It's gonna be difficult singing in the auditorium as it's not built for singing. We will have to project our voice to our loudest for all to hear as the auditorium, as I'd said, is really the worst place for singing.
If we can manage Las Amarillas, maybe, just MAYBE, we can sing that for Speech Day instead of Everyone Sang. I wish for Las Amarillas although I can memorise the whole of Everyone Sang already as Las Amarillas, as Ms Tham has said, shows more attitude and is not as delicate as the former. Also, Las Amarillas will be able to better portray the ability of our school's choir but that's only if we don't get messed up with different sections. Was quite mean today, since we did mix again [much to my delight], I successfully distracted Pearlyn from her section and she didn't know what she was singing in the end whereas I was singing the correct parts >< size="2">Under the pressure. Homework, assessments, projects, they are pulling us down but also helping us.
My hair seems to be neither short nor long now. I went to my old salon [ Shunji Matsuo's Icon ] and wanted to get a trim. Unfortunately, my previous hair stylist, Kathlyn, already left this branch and is in another Shunji Matsuo's branch - just not Icon =((
Jeanie was my hair stylist that cut my hair last Saturday. Such a weird name. Anyway, she cut it just a lil' too short...and when my mum told her to just cut it short, it was too late. Sighs, that's coz she already cut my layers, so if I want it shorter, the whole draggy process will need to start again. Argh. So now, my hair is neither short nor long...but Jeanie turned out to be quite good at styling and cutting my hair. The thing is, when I tie up my hair, I look like an old auntie, but if I don't tie up my hair, I may get a demerit as my hair is quite long. -.=
During choir the day before, we did sectionals coz much to my delight and relief, Mr Tay didn't turn up. We ran through Las Amarillas once more till all can get it right and Those Dainty Daffodillies, Stand By Me and Everyone Sang. Don't know how on earth am I gonna remember how to pronouce the lyrics of Las Amarillas or when my section comes in...I can remember the whole of the intro though.
Gave Pearlyn the last of my jelly beans today. We were joined by some 2C1 people- Gladys, Eunice and another person, Eunice is Pearlyn's angel. Then as we were walking out of the school, with Pearlyn talking mostly to herself as no one bothered to answer her, we asked if she could keep quiet for at least 30min. If she could, she will get $5. Deb was like calculating how much Pearlyn would get for each minute and so on. After 4min, Pearlyn gave up and started talking again. We were like, wow, no determination at all.
Oh yeah, just now, when I was cooking porridge for dinner, I dropped the cover of the rice container thing. Inside, I don't know how they got there, but the rice was swarmed with BUGS. Tiny little BUGS crawling all over. BUGS were crawling on the cover too. Note the word BUGS. It's a miracle I didn't scream.
I think she knows, oh crap. Everyday, coincidentally.

Similes

Slacked a lot during mass run again. Feel quite guilty, I lost Pam, Pearlyn yet again too =((. Sorry guys! Or gals for that matter. I only saw Deb who was running with me. It was only after we cross the bridge that I saw Pam and Pearlyn. Sihui couldn't run as her wound hasn't healed. I'm really really sorry for not waiting!!! It's just that I was running real slow so I'd thought you all were right behind me. Will try hard to slow down - especially at the crossover and the bridge.
You know, I am so sick of the window's view that when some cleaner placed a trash bin on the slope, both Deb and me suddenly shouted something like, finally there's a change in the view. That's how sick we are of the grassy slope. What's worse is that the slope is going down towards us, making it seem so depressing.
During Literature, Ms Vicky demanded us to memorise both the definitions of similes and metaphors respectively. And when she wanted an example, Jaclyn blurted, "As red as Mr Goh's underwear!". Everyone was shocked and laughed real hard. Then the whole class went "Awwwww". That was after Mr Goh's lesson.
Almost fell asleep during Chinese. Btw, managed not to fall asleep during History for the first time. Just that I had to copy previous lessons notes from Deb.
Okay, since I still have some time left, shall post about yesterday then. Mr Tay came and it was just like normal...just that he wanted us to do our stretching standing up - meaning it was much much more PAINFUL than normal. Oh, the excruciating pain...we had to bend our backbone backwards while side-stretching or else he will pull it back for us, not caring if it cracks. Sheesh.
Then for the first time, I sang Las Amarillas. That's coz of my illness. The first time was almost disastrous but Mr Tay didn't say anything. Then after some time, we had to do mix, which was what I dreaded. The only thing I like about mix is that I can stand next to other 1C1-ers. Was next to Elizabeth and after that, Evangeline stood in between me and Zi Yu. That's the good thing bout being in different sections from your classmates I guess =] Anyway, with coaching from Zi Yu [ Thank you Zi Yu!!] I managed to pronounce some of the mexican words during mixing. Heee, then Evangeline almost got side-tracked by my singing. Must be more focused! Haha, kidding. Anyway, she sort of scolded me later for singing so loudly since she found it difficult to comcentrate on her parts. Well, the problem with me is that the higher I get, the louder I get too.
But seriously, the climax of the song was really high-pitched. Well, it is for my section that is. The altos sang really low. Deb asked me a real weird question this morning btw. Coz Evangeline told me that I sang so high, Deb [who was sitting next to me] said that it's a bit funny that I can sing so high when my voice is so low. Alright then, shall answer your question properly now:
How low my voice is does not really play a huge part in my singing. My SL's normal voice is lower than even mine and she can sing real high too. You can't really say a person can't sing by how low or high a person's voice is - coz they aren't speaking in their "singsong" voice, as phrased and named by my conductor. During practices, if there is really a need to read aloud a song, and my conductor wants us to say it in our choir voices, it will sound like Mickey Mouse, which is so embarrassing! Lol, and I never sang as high as in choir when not in practices so that's why I sound so low during music lessons ^^ cant be bothered.
Oh well, I'm so long-winded! Anw, we needed to memorise Las Amarillas by next Monday latest - wish me luck!

Staying back

Okay, i almost wanted to hit my head or jump off the building when I saw the state of 4C1's classroom. Wait, I can't jump off the building when it's on the ground level...bummer.
The whole side was strewn with a WIDE variety of trash. Real trash. It's not that bad till I looked at the window grilles and saw paper balls stuck between the grilles. Wonder how they got there. The previous girl, Nicole, obviously didn't bother to bring all her stuff with her as I had to shove her career guide book, letters, and some brochures all into the dusty cupboard.
Actually, I was quite irresponsible...didn't get a broom from some other class to clean up the area. So when the relief teacher came, we had to clean the trash up. Oh well.
I refrain from looking out of the window like I used to do now. That's cause there's really nothing to see...cept for grass, grass, and grass. Just ask Geraldine and Iva, they would agree. Anw, sitting next to Deb now.
I didn't realise that there is even a maths test till during recess today and freaked out. Hope wouldn't fail although there's only seven questions. The relief teacher reminded me of my former form teacher [Ms Ng] - both in outlooks and attitude. They don't share the same surname though. Both are fussy over details and very responsible and take things too seriously. hm, could they really be related?
Stayed back in school till 430PM with Livia. We were both doing the PBL web page. Why we took so long: As I always sleep during CS lessons and Livia forgotten almost all the details of the web page stuff, we did it awfully. Turned out there were so many broken links. We redid it thrice. The second time we did it, we got stuck and needed Ms Shervon's help.
We did get her help. But that was half an hour later. When we FINALLY found her - she was doing up her hair somewhere else, she said she needed to use the toilet urgently. She was in the toilet, answering the call of nature, for fifteen minutes. She got both Livia and me so worried that we started speculating about what happened to her. One was about running out of toilet paper, another was diarrhoea. Oh yeah, yet another was her leg got stuck in the toilet bowl - that's by Livia btw.
It's all a coincidence, I guess.

Once again - With Style

Shifted to another different Sec4's classroom again today, this time it's unlucky 4C1.
It's a pity that they are at the Echo block =((, I wanna be in Futura block!! Futura's view is much better. Whereas Echo's view is just, well, GRASS and maybe one or two trees with the service road linking the the other blocks. Ah well, grass is good for our eyesight.
I like it much better at 4S1's classroom...but for personal reasons, I would rather be in 4C1's classroom now. Sigh, goodbye to the good view of condominiums and the canal and other buildings. =( Goodbye to being on the third floor for four months and near other Sec4 classes ><
Anyway, with effect from tomorrow, we will be switching with 4C1. I still can't manage to like Echo block - to me, it's awful...Much rather G block. I want Futura ^^
Anyway, thanks to teacher's unclear instructions, we were late for assembly and got yet another class demerit. It's not really any one's fault...just a miscommunication. We had to sing the school song outside the auditorium. Oh yeah, Sihui tripped during mass run yet again. She was running with me and then the next thing I knew, she disappeared from my line of vision. After looking down, I realised she actually fell [ no offence to you sihui!] . In the end, she didn't need to complete the mass run. It's kinda fun to run again after five weeks, partly because of my illness. Felt good - just that I slacked and ran super slow today.
Notice how many things repeated today, we getting booked, being late for assembly, shifting, and Sihui falling. Well, shall end here, ciao!

On a Sunday like this

I wonder if there really is right and wrong.
Everything has two sides - that I agree. It seems that every one's identities may somewhat be similar to each other and yet different because of our influences. It was mostly due to the influence of a very special person close to my heart that my beliefs in life were shaped so carefully yet full of questions still. We both agreed on our views of people and thoughts. Our philosophies are same yet vastly different. The influence wielded on me by him and vice versa was great. Every one's thoughts and philosophies are carved out by their day-to-day lives, their interactions with others, their emotions, their initial naive selves.
Sometimes, traits that appear as wrong may only be another term for something that others look upon as of high prestige. I have a dream. It is to be able to publish different thoughts and philosophies in a book. I may not want to be an author [ it was actually my ambition till three years ago actually ], but I just want to do that. To be able to express my ideas, my aspirations in ink, onto paper, into many copies. Ambitions change, yet, this is something that I've yet to be discouraged of.
It may be all only an act of being jocund. Yet, maybe all the merriness the others see is actually part of me - just that I didn't realise it.
