We started on the 2009 SYF piece this morning. We had to get into pairs and Ms Ong asked me to teach Jorina how to count since she didn't understand. I was really worried that Jorina didn't get what I was trying to tell her... after all, I am bad at any music theory. The song still sounds weird to me but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it.
Ms Ong also bought us cakes. And Cynthia just had to feed me. Yeah, she loves me too much. She insisted on stuffing my mouth with the cake since I couldn't reach it. Anyway, thank goodness Juniper warned me about the brandy butter - I almost took it. Hahah, I don't want to break out into rashes.
Oh oh, and Teryne and I are now the managers of the 'Fist- rubbing' club. Cynthia was trying desperately to get warm since the PAT is like a freezer and I still can't understand why she should rub her fists and not palms together to keep warm. So Teryne and I thought that she was trying to start a fire. It was really funny and we tried to imitate Cynthia. Then Ms Ong was talking about using some primitive way of communication (which was using the phone to call the other party personally). But somehow I thought of the paper cups and string method and the smoke signal thing. Teryne then said that was what Cynthia was trying to do. Although I think if it was an emergency, it would be a decade before Cynthia can even get a fire started.
Lunch and Tiong Bahru Plaza was just funny. Anna and Zhuo Min couldn't stop laughing and somehow everyone laughed when I said I felt like a walrus and after that, a mammoth. Well, I was that full.
The rest of the day proved that I am really bad at shopping alone. I spent five minutes walking around Bugis Junction before giving up. Then I popped into Kinokuniya and read a whole novel within thirty minutes and then left since I felt bad reading a whole book there instead of buying anything. With more than two and a half hours left before my mum can end her work, I spent the time stoning on the seat outside Kinokuniya. I slept half the time sleeping though. I also saw a man cross dressing as a woman...he was wearing this low back dress with a V-neck with his chest hair sticking out.
I think Miyavi would do a better job however. Since the guy was in his mid-forties and it's just unusual to see chest hair sticking out of a dress. I've seen a few cross dressers on the MRT trains and stations before and I have nothing against them since they are actually nice people but this is seriously the first time I've seen someone who didn't even bother to shave. -.-

I almost got burnt this evening while cooking. In order to wipe off stain for the stove, I used a piece of tissue paper. And it caught fire since I forgot to turn off the gas. The best part was that I didn't even realise it... I was wondering where was the smell coming from. The flame also got pretty big so I just threw it in to the basin where it continued to dance wildly. So I flooded the basin and was left with black stuff and some residue. Well, I didn't get burnt, which is definitely good. 0-0
Choir did really well for Musical Evening. We were much better than our Happening Happenings! concert performance.
I managed to stomp and clap in time for The Joiku and remembered all my moves for the ABBA medley part. For Chiquitita, my painful expression was genuine since I actually "tore" my wound while kneeling down for the first verse. Thank goodness I did remember to paste a plaster on it since it was bleeding horribly when I took it off once I reached home.
Everyone had fun that day I suppose. We did warm-ups in school for the morning. Also asked Evangeline for help with my tying of hair although my hair needed a lot of help since I really have so many layers with different lengths. I used three types of hairspray. Ms Seow also insisted that I tidy my fringe and show my forehead since it covers my eyes. It was good that I didn't die from the smell of it all.
Once we reached NUS, we went to one of their many canteens for our lunch. Mr Tan told us why it's called the 'Central Canteen' when we arrived. Everyone expected a sophisticated explanation but he just said, " It's called the Central canteen because it's in the center of the whole campus. "
Hahaha. Anyway, I ate my Italian butter bread there since my mum already packed it for me.
Once Ziyu finally finished her big bowl of noodles, everyone went of to Yong Siew Toh. We got the same dressing rooms as the ones we had for our last performance there. People then began to tidy their hair and used the hairsprays like there's no tomorrow. And they chose to use the Sopranos dressing room for the hair spray thing specifically. Therefore I decided to become a temporary alto and went next door to put on my make up and breathe in human air instead of inhaling that vile stuff.
By the way, I just read this article on hair spray this week. Apparently, hair spray can affect pregnant women with sons. There is the high possibility of the boy getting some genital defection. This article was found in the Today paper FYI.
I'm not at all prepared for next week's WYCF sessions. Why must I be isolated from the rest of the girls. My mum is also sympathetic - but it's for a different reason altogether. She wonders why I don't get to be with the boys and have to be with the SSA choir. -.-
At least Christel is in SSA too, although I couldn't find her name in my WYCF section name list.
Cheng Meng's ( I don't know how to spell his name ) chosen pop song, 童话 is really difficult to play. Sure, it sounds nice, but I seriously cannot change key in right in the middle of the song. I just get confused and play some gibberish. Hopefully, next week's Christmas songs will be easier to comprehend.
I was actually too lazy to post something but I wanted more people come here for tag-tags. D:

I feel like my life revolves around choir now. Most probably because we have been practising for almost every day. I really hope the concert will be a success for us since we practised a lot for it.
Thank goodness Ms Ong gave us a day to rest - I think I will just lose my voice if we had to rehearse again today. Tomorrow will be a shorter rehearsal too, so as to keep up our momentum till Saturday.
My legs are full of scars and I have yet another one from my fall on Tuesday. My mum came to buy next year's books while we were in the hall having our combined rehearsal. She had to wait for a long time since I had to get scores for Ms Sim and had to wait for her while she took my scores to the staff room to photocopy.
Had to carry the books home with my mum. While walking down the slope from the school gate, I tripped over the curb and in order not to bang into my mum I swerved my body, tripped over the books I was carrying and fell down the slope. My mum then proceeded to scold me since this is what seemed like the thousandth time I fell down this year. Well, I may not have fallen and got my balance if I didn't change my direction so fast. Yet I got a scolding instead D:
We then had to rush to get my contact lens. Since it has been a year since I stopped wearing them, I had to go through some training again to re-cap on the techniques. I still need about twenty minutes to put those lens into my eyes. =/
My mum and I also had to get new plasters and dettol solution since I finished the supply at home with my little accidents every now and then. D:
Yesterday's rehearsal was painful. Ms Ong made us smile through all the songs and my face felt like plastic in the end. Cynthia suggested that all of us go for botox injections so that our face muscles will be frozen into a smile without us even trying.
Dancing was slightly difficult with my wound but I managed just fine since it's just a minor one compared to the rest of the falls I had before.
I went to school earlier to meet up with the QMs, Anna and Zhuo Min since they were also going to the Communicative Arts room. I then took the opportunity to do my score stock-taking which is really hard work since the previous librarian didn't have a system to follow. At least I managed to finished all of this year's scores, the old scores and the 2009 SYF scores with Zhuo Min, Evangeline, Anna and Zi yu's help after they finished tidying up the gowns. =D
Everyone brought back their gowns yesterday too. Pearlyn gave an update on her love life while everyone was bored with waiting for the gowns. I really wonder how she gets her boyfriends. XD Got Cheryl's help on the train home to arrange my gown neatly since it fell from it's hanger in the gown cover. I think I'm too fat for my gown D:
Played reversi with Sean just now. I have not played that game for ages...

This year's birthday had been the usual I guess. Ching Han and Juniper were the first to wish me a happy birthday. Thanks!
I didn't get to celebrate much as I had my choir rehearsal the whole day. Juniper and Ariel paid for my lunch though. Teryne, Jollin, Lixin, Juniper, Ariel and I went to McDonald's for lunch. I kind of felt apologetic to Anna but I did promise that I would go with them for lunch and Juniper asked me in the morning to go with them. Anyway, lunch was nice and somehow everyone raced back to school, trying to outdo each other. I gave up halfway as my chest hurt.
While crossing the road, I saw the band members going home and Livia wished me happy birthday across the road. What better way to wish a person and let the whole street know. Hahas =D
Suddenly I saw this yellow umbrella over my head. The rest had already moved up ahead so they didn't see me. There was this girl who insisted that she sheltered me since it was raining and my clothes were kind of wet. She is a private candidate for the O' level examinations. Based on her accent, she must be from China. I must say that she's really kind as to shelter me from the main road to the school. 谢谢你!
Thank you for all the birthday presents. Anna gave me Ponds, a soft toy frog. Juniper, for the cute nici mug with the leopard. Ariel, for helping to pay for part of my lunch. Ziyu, for the breadou thing that Teryne has fallen in love with. Rui Ting, for the pink case that you bought during lunch. Most of all, my mum who gave me so many presents and the dinner at Eatzi.
The committee had a dance workshop yesterday for the Mama Mia moves. The Sec2s and Teryne were late as we were looking at the Sec3 placement results.
That was also when Teryne saw the bread thing that Ziyu gave me. Hahas, she's really fascinated by it. In fact, my poor bread was in the danger of being bitten that I had to warn everyone who tried to bite it;
Hahas. We did a series of warm ups with the guy although I had no idea what I was supposed to do half the time. He taught us how to do the wave thing too. After that, we spent the rest of the session doing the new moves for the ABBA songs. Mama Mia was really confusing at first but it got easier after a while.
After lunch at Esso, we had to teach the rest of the choir the new moves. It was tiring. Really tiring. I finally realised how tiring it is to dance and yet sing loudly for the whole day with a smile pasted on your face. From 10am till late afternoon, everyone felt worn out at the end of the day. But I think our efforts will pay off next Saturday. I can't wait to show the audience what the choir is capable of. =]

My giddiness finally subsided today.
My mum just brought me to the clinic this evening to get more medication for me.
Monday was an absolute nightmare. Right after I woke up and got out of bed, I felt really giddy and had a pounding pain in my head. It took me some time but I managed to crawl to the hall to get the phone. I felt bad for my mum though - she had to take leave from her job and come back to bring me to the doctor. After breakfast and taking my medication that morning, I vomited all the food and medication out again. My mum then gave me some bread to eat when we got home but I puked it all out once more after that. Even water made me nauseous. Spent most of the day in bed with my head on the pillow.
Besides my head, there was also my phlegm and sore throat. Therefore my mum took me to the clinic once more since the painkillers did not work at all. I got stronger medication for the giddiness and cough mixture.
I think I should be able to go out tomorrow although I will not be able to sing. Hopefully, I will be alright by next week. I really want to perform and I'm afraid that I will not be allowed to if I miss any more rehearsals.
Oh, and I found a good drama-loving friend in Jessie. She is watching Hello! Miss now I think. There's still the In Soon is Pretty drama to complete but I think I should do my holiday homework and watch Bleach anime first.
Jessie also tagged me to do this meme:

Class chalet was fun but tiring.
I met the rest of the planning committee at Pasir Ris MRT station in the morning like on Monday (when we were doing the trial run). This time I didn't see any 6/9 people though. I saw Christal and Tabby the other time. Anyway, we went to White Sands' McDonald's to wait for the rest who were late. When Jessie, who was carrying the money, arrived, we went to Fair Price to shop for food.
It was pretty fun shopping in the supermarket. Everyone stared at our trolley, which was piled high with junk food. Liz and I dumped our bags into the trolley as they were really heavy. We both got stares from strangers on the train because of our bags. Well, I did try to minimise the number of items to bring.
After buying all the food, we went to KFC to eat our lunch. Jessie took what seemed like a decade to eat her burger. Cassandra went up to Kopitiam to eat though. The rest of us just talked about the weirdest things while finishing up.
Pam later went with Cassandra to find out where is the shuttle bus service while the rest of us were left stranded at the interchange. Thank goodness we went to look at the map and found out where the chalet is. We had to run for the bus though. And we somehow got off at the right stop but didn't know how to walk there. With Pam and Jessie behind, Liz and I discussed on which sign post to follow. Both said "Costa Sands Resort Pasir Ris" but the one on the left had a walking sign. So we decided that the one on the right was for cars and we should follow the walking sign.
It was really tiring. With our overnight huge bags and the food for the class, Liz and I were close to giving up halfway. In the end, we walked one big round around the resort before realising that we could have just taken a shorter route. Anyway, Pam and Jessie were wandering around behind.
Since we needed to check in first, we made poor Tessa S and Cassy to wait with the class at the station before coming over. Haha. After Pam's mum came to help us check-in, we looked around the two rooms we booked. All of us were initially worried about the space but it seemed fine if everyone squeezed around.
Amazing race was tiring for both the station masters and participants. The groups had to run around all between Pasir Ris and the Esplanade. Tessa, Liz and Pam seemed fine with it - only Jessie and I were bored with the waiting. I made do with walking around the two shopping malls but gave up after a few rounds. I'd even walked around the male underwear section. Sitting quietly outside Burger King and Cafe Cartel seemed to be the best idea. However, I forgot about the smokers there and had to suffer in silence for two hours before the first team even showed up.
While sitting, I was wondering if I would get lung cancer after this and there was an old man who came to ask me, 你还好吗? I was kind of embarrassed. Maybe he thought that I was so depressed that I did not want to leave the place. Jessie also called me to ask why the teams were taking such a long time. I told her to chat with the security guards at Kinokuniya.
Our room did not get much sleep that night. The neighbouring rooms partied till 4am. Meanwhile I familiarised myself with the ceiling. In fact, I did not sleep at all - I was the only one who answered Ching Han's question while the rest were sleeping away. Finally at about seven, I saw Yimin went to bathe. I decided to bathe too but Yimin didn't even warn me about the cold water. =/
Part of the day was spent in Escape theme park where I spent most of the time wandering around like a zombie. Since I was close to collapsing due to the lack of sleep the night before and the night before the chalet, some of us went back to the chalet first.
Barbeque party was quite a success. Pam's mum's spaghetti and potato salad was great. We went to Pam's house to peel the potatoes before that.
I went back right after that as I was feeling very sick.
All in all, the chalet was kind of successful, I guess.
