Exile in a Cold Land

In a winter air when bare trees
inlay calligraphics in the sky,
snow flutters perhaps
from a grey distance,
and trailed by his own voice,
a lone man walks,
afraid of being smothered,
immured in a white universe.

Night by night he threatens
to jettison the stars,
evict them in tumbles
as snow from a frozen sky,
else dreams the thin-sheeted ice
cracks beneath his feet,
fragile as a brief handshake.

I'm quite surprised and happy with the new committee positions.
I was really happy that others think that I can be a good and capable leader.
A heartfelt 'thank you' to everyone who has congratulated me. I will definitely work harder and prove that I am a responsible person and help the rest of the committee.

To the new members of our committee, each of you were chosen with great consideration by the old committee. Welcome to the group and don't forget to work hard~ /(^^)/
May all of us work together as a great team!

It's been eons since my last post.

Up till now, the new choir committee has not been chosen yet. We will only know the new positions for certain people next week. And we are the last CCA in school which has not done so. The new committee will only have to work till April next year then...I don't really think my position will change much though D:

My guitar playing has been really bad this few weeks. I honestly dislike playing the solo version of Canon in D. The guitar examination will be held this coming Saturday. Good luck to those taking it. I, for one, am relieved that I'd chosen not to apply for it. I don't have any confidence in my guitar playing - it's much easier to sing instead.

The past two days of choir practice were spent on learning Ant's Summer / Ari no Natsu / 蟻の夏 by Ko Matsushita. I think it's quite a quirky and lively song. It's a difficult piece though. Much tougher than Salve Regina by Kocsar Miklos , which we are also singing currently. Still, it seems that these are hyperactive and complex ants we are singing about here. I find it kind of catchy and likeable though.
